Our services begin by collaborating with your family to create a customized pathway for your child’s success so they may reach their fullest potential. Our multidisciplinary team works with each other to strengthen your child’s treatment plan.
Music and Motor
Music is an amazing teacher. This class couples music with therapy to help your child develop gross motor regulation and language skills. By incorporating educational moments and hands-on learning, we can work together on social skills, strengthening and endurance with activities, handling/positioning, or a combination of each. This class assists families in identifying and understanding the techniques and utilizing resources they need to be active in their child’s progress.
Food is a fundamental way to nourish little bodies, and this class is dedicated to helping children learn how to play, explore, and enjoy eating their food. We know that worries about sufficient calorie intake and stress around mealtime can be overwhelming. We utilize the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding. This researched and systematic approach will help your child to interact with food in a non-stressful environment and to learn about the different properties of food.
Our therapists will help you and your child create positive experiences with food and establish healthy mealtime routines. We will also work to increase your child’s food repertoire and overall intake. Parents are encouraged to learn and participate as building healthy eating habits extend far beyond our classrooms.
Language and Literacy
A whole world opens up to a child when language and literacy develops. Knowing this, we created an advancement group to build on these burgeoning skills. Communication with your family and with peers will be encouraged as we focus on practical and social language skills. A licensed speech therapist will help your child build vocabulary and use words and phrases in meaningful ways while exploring through storybooks. This group also supports skills related to preschool and kindergarten readiness, including following directions and recognizing language symbols through engaging activities.
